Standard Definition (SD) Current System Most television stations in Canada and in the U.S.A. are broadcasting in this format today. SD is 680 pixels wide and 480 pixels high. It is recognizable by its (nearly square) 4:3 rectangular look. Most, but not all, tube televisions sold in Canada and in the U.S.A., are manufactured for this format. Enhanced Definition (ED) is an improved version of the Standard Defintion format. |
SD vs.HD |
High Definition (HD) The Future Is Here More and more television stations in Canada and in the U.S.A., like CTV, Discovery, A&E and others, as well as most sport broadcasters are making programs available in this format today. HD is 1920 pixels wide and 1080 pixel high producing more details and sharper images. It is recognizable by its 16:9 ratio, a more pronounced rectangular look. All LCD and plasma flat-screen TVs sold in Canada and in the USA today are HD format ready. |

All recorded events presented to you in RAW (unedited) VIDEO on High Quality DVDs (Blu-Ray disks for HD recording) with colour printed image of your choice on the surface of the disks in professionally designed plastic cases.
